Torun Wall is a unique ceramic tile, made of authentic 19th-century bricks, coming from historic buildings of Torun city in Poland. They are distinguished not only by their slightly larger dimensions compared to standard tiles but also by more regular edges and a unique surface texture.

One of the main advantages of our product is its ability to recreate the look of an old-fashioned wall. Due to the individual character of each brick from which the tiles were made, the final effect is always unique and extremely atmospheric.

Please note that the tiles may vary in color and size depending on the batch. In addition, they may contain traces of mortar or chips that add unique character, charm, and authenticity to each tile. This diversity makes each space where they are used truly unique

IMPREGNATION

Impregnation is not required for walls inside the building, but it should be remembered that brick is an absorbent material and any liquids accidentally spilled on an unprotected brick wall can be permanently absorbed into its structure.

Secure the brick to enjoy for years

In order to protect the wall, we recommend using an impregnation from our offer impregnation - (buy the product).

You have to impregnate both the tile and the grout. The impregnation can be applied by brush and spray. You can impregnate the wall twice using the wet-on-wet method. Apply the second layer no later than about 30 minutes. after applying the first layer.

INSTALLATION

Easy installation

The thickness of the tiles of 2 cm simplifies the installation procedure. In the first step, we prime the wall. Then spread the glue on the comb on each of the brick tiles and lay the tiles by pressing them to the wall and leaving spaces between each of the tiles of about 1 cm to fill them with grout. Finally, impregnate the tiles.

BRICK TILE PROCESSING

Cutting to size

Our brick tiles can be easily cut to fit sockets using diamond discs for concrete. You can use a regular angle grinder or a circular saw for this. Cutting should be done dry without the use of water.

Drilling holes

Using drills and concrete hole saws, you can make mounting holes in the brick tiles for sockets or TV brackets. All holes must be drilled without hammering.

 Additional information

▫️ The tiles are packed in a plastic baskets, thanks to which we can move them to any place.

▫️ In the case of tiles from the Torun Wall series, there are about 48 pieces per m2. The number of pieces per m2 is given with a 1 cm gap for the joint.

▫️ Tiles may be delivered wet. This is due to the production process. The final color will be revealed when the material dries. Wet tiles can be mounted to the wall, where the drying process occurs spontaneously.

▫️ When ordering our product, it is worth remembering about an additional 10% stock of tiles. 

▫️ It happens that there may be post-production dust on the front of the tile. They are usually small amounts. To remedy this, the quickest and simplest solution will be to vacuum the glued tiles.

▫️ Delivery is carried out by forwarding companies. The whole order is prepared on a well-protected pallet.

▫️ Pallets are delivered by a truck with a lift. The courier does not bring boxes/pallets to the apartment. The courier is obliged to deliver the brick to the nearest possible destination.

▫️ After receiving the delivery, bricks should be unwrapped to ensure natural air circulation and drying of the tiles.

▫️ We assure you that we do not pack any cracked tiles in boxes, despite the fact that the market accepts the possibility (depending on the company) that up to 20% of tiles will arrive cracked during delivery. As a rule, about 10 - 15% must be trimmed during assembly. The demolition brick tile, despite the crack, does not lose its properties. It can be glued to the wall in such a way that the minimum crack line is visible. This procedure enhances the historical and natural character of the product and makes the arrangement authentic.
